Lawrence of Arabia (1962)
One of the best films I’ve been introduced to in quite some time. The visuals, story, and acting are all superb, and I cannot believe it took me this long to watch the film. Though perhaps slow for some modern audiences, I would recommend this film highly to anyone interested in epic, historical tales.
School of Rock (2003)
A great movie all-around, this is my favorite Jack Black performance. When I was in high school, I attended a summer program at Yale University, and one night we projected this film onto the side of a building.
V for Vendetta (2005)
An iconic film, I found the characters much more memorable than the plot. That said, Natalie Portman and Hugo Weaving both give excellent performances.
